Murkomen stated that the meeting focused on deliberations on viable strategies to curb cattle rustling and banditry. "Our discussions centered on identifying socio-sustainable measures that could effectively address the prevailing security challenges," said Murkomen.

He mentioned that proposals for road infrastructure development to bolster road networks in the regions and potentially counter occurrences of cattle rustling and banditry were prioritized in the discussion. The meeting brought together Governor Benjamin Cheboi (Baringo), Wiskey Rotich (Elgeyo Marakwet), Jeremiah Lomorukai (Turkana), and Jonathan Lelelit of Samburu.
